Born in Cambridge with Norwegian roots, the indie-folk singer-songwriter’s lilting voice and explorative songwriting has been described as ‘dreamful’ and ‘truly transformative’. At age six, her grandmother bought her a guitar to stop her from sucking her thumb - a gift that sparked a lifelong relationship with music.

Fran Lusty’s work has resonated widely, earning significant editorial support from Spotify, Apple Music, alongside recognition from BBC Introducing, BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 6. She has sold-out headline shows across London and Brighton, completed two European tours, and performed at festivals including Secret Garden Party, Cambridge Folk Festival, Wilderness, Howthelightgetsin, Lazydays and Latitude.

This year, Fran Lusty won the Road to Lakefest Competition (out of 600 bands), earning a main stage slot at Lakefest Festival. She was also awarded the Janice Long Emerging Artist Award, which saw her open the Janice Long stage at Moseley Folk & Arts Festival.
